In 1916 Father Miguel Domingo Fuertes Loren requested permission to mine a certain blue rock he had discovered, but his request was rejected. In 1974, Miguel Mndez and a Peace Corps volunteer rediscovered Larimar on a beach. Miguel took his young daughter's name Larissa and the Spanish word for sea (mar) and formed Larimar, by the colors of the water

Nice socks, but they are way too small. Says they fit size 6 - 10. I kept 3 ( I wear size 8) and gave 3 to my daughter (size 8.5). We both agreed that they were just too small.
