The outer layers of the gasket are embossed and coated on both sides with a Viton rubber material designed to meet the demands of a variety of harsh sealing environments, load conditions and surface finishes. Best thing we have come across lately! Bought them for a 4 week trip. Easy to open. Good taste. There's a little peroxide n it, but it's not too foamy. Great for travel. Will be buying it regularly. My husband and I are both big fans.
